Reports: Nigeria Winning War Against Polio

The Global Polio Eradication Initiatives on Thursday in Lagos reported that Nigeria was winning the war against polio.

NAN Reports:

The report, made available to journalists, quoted Oyewale Tomori, Chairman, Nigeria’s Expert Review Committee on Polio Eradication and Routine Immunisation, as giving the score card.

The report quoted Mr. Tomori, a professor, as saying that only one case of wild polio had been reported in the first two months of the year across the country. It occurred in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State on February 1, the report said; adding that this was the first time that no polio case would be reported in most parts of the northwestern states.

“Between January and September 2012, Nigeria reported 101 cases of polio in 13 states cutting across 70 local government areas, compared to 49 cases in nine states that spanned through 26 local government areas in the same period in 2013,“ it said.

The report said the high level of insecurity had, however, hampered Supplementary Immunisation Activities (SIA) in the northwestern parts of Nigeria.

The latest update is that a Taiwanese student is claiming to have found a satellite image which appears to show the missing passenger plane in the skies above a jungle. Reports claim that the authenticity of the photo has not been verified, and the region depicted in the image is unknown.

Malaysian authorities have yet to respond to this new claim. Some days ago, some fishermen and villagers close to the southern border of Thailand said they saw 'bright light descending at high speed' and loud noise of a plane engine on the night the plane disappeared.

Ayo Sogunro Replies Sadiq Abacha On Behalf Of Prof. Wole Soyinka

Its a season of open letters! You must have read Sadiq Abacha's open letter to Prof. Wole Soyinka Sadiq. Well the ghen ghen has happened. He has gotten a reply from writer/activist Ayo Sogunro.

Read and share your thoughts in the comment section...

I do not know you personally, but I admire your filial bravery - however misguided-in defending the honour of your father, the late General Sani Abacha. This in itself is not a problem; it is an obligation—in this cultural construct of ours - for children to rise to the defense of their parents, no matter what infamy or perfidy the said parent might have dabbled in.

Open Letter From Sani Sadiq Abacha To Prof. Wole Soyinka

One of the sons of late military dictator Sani Abacha, Sadiq Sani Abacha has wrote an open letter to Prof. Wole Soyinka days after the Nobel Laureate said it was an insult to share an award with his late father, Sani Abacha.  Sadiq says Prof Soyinka attacking his dad is an act of cowardice...

If you want to think, speak and act logically then you should know all three.
1. The law of identity
2. The law of excluded middle
3. The law of non contradiction.

Now let's look at each one of these and see what they mean in practice.
1.The law of identity
The law of identity means that things are what they are, which at first doesn't seem very illuminating, but wait; it implies also the following, that things are what they are, whether you like them or not, it implies that things are what they are whether you know them or not, it implies that things are what they are whether you agree with them or not.
