Falling Container Kills Female Pedestrian on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A female pedestrian was crushed to death on Thursday morning at Berger area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by a container after it fell from a moving trailer.

The trailer was heading out of Lagos around 7a.m when it lost one of its tyres, making the driver to lose control of the truck momentarily.

Good News Coming- New Pay Coming For Policemen!

The Federal Government is working on a new pay structure for the Nigeria Police, to boost the morale of policemen and officers.

This was stated by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 9, Mr. Solomon Olusegun, on Thursday in Awka, during a visit to the Anambra State Police Command.

He said the pay structure was being worked on by the Force headquarters, Abuja.

The Benue State Head of Service, Mr Michael Iordye and two commissioners saw the other side of Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State, north central Nigeria, Wednesday as they were locked out for arriving late for the weekly state executive council meeting.

Robbers shoot Daily Sun Editor


A major tragedy was averted yesterday as the Editor of Daily Sun, Mr. Steve Nwosu, was attacked and shot in the right side of the head by  gunmen, who robbed him of N250, 000 before fleeing the scene of the robbery on a motorbike. 

The incident happened at about 3.15p.m. in Agboju, a densely populated residential suburb of Amuwo, Lagos. The gunmen’s  bullets ripped through the glass of the passenger’s door of Nwosu’s car before hitting him.   The doctor, taking care of him described the incident as “a close shave with death,” but said Mr. Nwosu was stable and in high     spirits.  Although shocked by the incident, the editor would soon leave the hospital after preliminary reports suggested his condition was not alarming.

Fans Breaks Glass on Eniola Badmus (Gbogbo Bigs Girlz) Car


Actress Popularly known as ‘Gbogbo Bigs Girlz (Eniola Badmus)’ has alleged that she was mobbed in Lagos yesterday by some of her fans. She also disclosed that her newly bought Honda Pilot car was destroyed by the mob.

The Top Nollywood  ’plus size’ actress, who acted in ‘Omo Ghetto’ and ‘Blackberry Babes’, revealed this after she posted a picture of her damaged car by the fans yesterday.

She stated that the incident took place in Ebutte Metta area of Lagos. Eniola also disclosed that she might give the option of getting a body guard a thought.

She went ahead to say, “[I] never knew I have so much fans. I was mobbed in Ebutte-Metta yesterday. A price to pay for stardom. I think I need body guards.”

Eniola Badmus is one of the cross-over actresses that has excelled in both genres of the film industry.

It was reported that the damaged Honda Pilot car was reportedly acquired by Eniola while she was in Canada two months ago.
