2016 Rio Olympic: Kenya's Kipchoge Wins Gold in Men's Marathon

As the curtains of 2016 Rio Olympics, Kenya's Kipchoge has clinched a gold medal in the mens marathon finishing in 2:08:44. Ethiopia's Feyisa Lilesa won the silver medal and America's Galen Rupp taking the bronze medal home.

Turkey Suicide Bombing Update: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Says Suicide Bomber In Recent Attack Is A Child Between 12-14 Years Old

Turkey Suicide Bombing Update: The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has released a statement today Sunday the 21st of August, 2016 stating  that the suicide bomber whose act killed at least 51 people was a boy between the age of 12 to 14 carried out the attack. He also stated that it must have been for Isis.

Fortunately, the bride groom and his bride were survived the attack. Although they suffered some injuries but not critical. 


Nice Joins Other Cities and Resorts To Ban The Use of Burkinis

The city of Nice has joined other cities in France and banned the used of Burkinis. A Burkini is a full body swimsuit worn by many muslim women, it covers the body except the hands, feet and face. Yet it gives the flexibility needed to enjoy swimming. However, after last month's Bastille Day truck attack and the killing of a catholic priest, Nice applied a ban clothing that overtly manifests adherence to a religion Burkinis inclusive.

After a long battle for the bronze medals, Nigeria's U-23 beats Honduras 3-2 to win the bronze medals. This is Nigeria's only win/medals in 2016 Rio Olympics. 

50 Dead, Many Wounded In Suicide Bombing At Turkish Wedding

Yesterday night about 11pm, an explosion rocked a wedding ceremony in the city of Gaziantep in Turkey after a suicide attack. At least 50 people have been killed including women and children. Many have also been left injured.

Ali Yerlikaya, the governor of Gaziantep has described the incident as a terror attack while
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has said "Daesh is the likely perpetrator of the attack", using the Arabic name for the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) group.
