The city of Nice has joined other cities in France and banned the used of Burkinis. A Burkini is a full body swimsuit worn by many muslim women, it covers the body except the hands, feet and face. Yet it gives the flexibility needed to enjoy swimming. However, after last month's Bastille Day truck attack and the killing of a catholic priest, Nice applied a ban clothing that overtly manifests adherence to a religion Burkinis inclusive.
The ban apparently does not favor French Muslim women who may have become victims of the violence and are now being stigmatized and maybe seen or categorized as suspects of violence by virtue of their faith.
