Woman stabs son to spite ex-hubby

A 28-year-old woman, Mrs. Joy Akule, has stabbed her son in the stomach in a failed attempt to share the boy’s body with her former husband.The State Police Command said the suspect, who has been arrested, allegedly confessed to the crime.
She was said to have told policemen that she did it in a bid to cut off every relationship with her ex-husband, the father of the boy. 

Disclosing this at the weekend in Kano,  Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, said the suspect admitted that she intended to share the boy into two so that she and her former husband, Mr.Thomas Akule, could have equal share of the boy. Mr Idris said the boy’s mother was angry with  her ex-husband for refusing  to give her custody of the child after their marriage collapsed.
