Last Wednesday American Idol pulled in 13.1 million viewers,
it's lowest Wednesday night rating since the singing competition show debuted
back in 2002.
This marks the third week in a row that the ratings have
gone down. American Idol season 12 premiered January 16, 2013 with 17.8 million
viewers. Last year's season finale aired May 23, 2012 with 21.49 million
viewers.
They (American Idol producers) added Mariah Carey and Nicki
Minaj to the judges panel and expected a jump in ratings.
Well the exact opposite happened!!!
