South African Immigration Deporting Nigerian For Insubstantial Excuses

Recently, the South African immigration has been deporting Nigerians for the most insubstantial reasons. Starting from their airport, they deport Nigerians for allegedly carrying what they call 'fake' yellow card. Then sometimes they raid local hotels and even pick Nigerians up while they are going about their business.

Today Friday Feb. 28th they deported eleven Nigerians for hotel reservation reasons. The ones staying at apartments too were deported because according to South African immigration, their names didn't appear on the apartment lease while clearly they were just guests.

This is just not cool at all! I hope our government is taking note!

CheckPoints Abandoned By Soldiers As Boko Haram Advances

According to The Herald:

The Nigerian Army reportedly abandoned its positions at checkpoints on Wednesday when a group of Boko Haram insurgents advanced on Shuwa, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The soldiers were reportedly intimidated by the size of the number of insurgents and abandoned their posts for fear of loss of life and/or limbs.

A pastor who was at the scene told Agence France Presse, “When the soldiers at the military checkpoints saw the number of the attackers, they retreated into the nearby bushes as the gunmen operated without challenge during the operation that lasted throughout the night.”

The head of a nearby Christian Secondary School upon hearing gunshots advised the pupils to run into the bushes in order to avoid being killed by the terrorists.

The terrorists did eventually arrive at the school and set the place ablaze because they did not find students there.

Nigerian News: Gani's Family Rejects Cetenary Award

News reports that the family members of the late human rights lawyer and SAN Gani Fawehinmi had rejected the award bestowed on the late activist as part of the nation’s centenary.

Their reasons being that the late human right activist would have not received the award in a time where innocent citizens (children, girls especially) are killed and kidnapped by insurgents in the Northern part of Nigeria. Coupled with the fact that the nation is in a state of devastating corruption such as the alleged allegations about the missing $20bn oil funds.

Another reason they said for rejection the award is the inclusion on the lists of recipient is a former dictator, Gen. Ibrahim Babaginda who they said as a military President. Severally detained and tortured their father.

They sent a letter dated February 27, 2014 and addressed it to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim. The letter was signed by the son of the late legal human rights activist, Mohammed.

The CBN governor today has been suspended. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Mr. Reuben Abati has this to say about the suspension of the CBN governor. Meanwhile an acting CBN governor Dr. Sarah Alade, the most senior CBN deputy Governor has been appointed this morning.

Mr. Reuben Abati had this to say in a press statement released this morning:

Having taken special notice of reports of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and other investigating bodies, which indicate clearly that Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s tenure has been characterized by various acts of financial recklessness and misconduct which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focused economic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline;
Being also deeply concerned about far-reaching irregularities under Mallam Sanusi’s watch which have distracted the Central Bank away from the pursuit and achievement of its statutory mandate; and being determined to urgently re-position the Central Bank of Nigeria for greater efficiency, respect for due process and accountability, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from the Office of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Mother In-Law Sent Me Back From Heaven

A man has described his near death experience where he was ordered back to earth from heaven by his dead mother-in-law after suffering a massive heart attack.

Delivery driver Brian Miller, from Ohio, U.S. suffered a massive cardiac arrest while at work but seemed to be recovering in hospital when his heart suddenly stopped beating for 45 minutes.
Doctors at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center desperately tried to revive the 41-year-old, shocking him four times while he lay on the brink of death.

But as doctors feared the worst, out-of-the-blue his heart began beating normally again. Amazingly, he had not suffered any brain damage or loss of any bodily functions.

Now Mr Miller has recalled how he saw a white light, and said he was walking towards heaven along a path covered in flowers before being told by his recently deceased mother-in-law that he had to return to his body.
