LEADER of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari, on Monday canvassed the dissolution of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s government to pave the way for the convocation of a Sovereign National Conference.

He said the conference was the only solution to the menace of the violent Islamist sect, Boko Haram, whose members are currently executing a bombing campaign against military and police facilities and churches especially in the northern states and Abuja.

“Whether he likes it or not, Goodluck Jonathan must convoke an SNC. There is a need for a national discourse and dialogue. It is only an SNC that will solve the problem. The solution to the Boko Haram crisis is to dissolve the government and convoke an SNC,” Dokubo-Asari told journalists at the meeting with youths of the Niger Delta in Abuja.

The ex-Niger Delta militant warned that if the Boko Haram issue could lead to another civil war if not tackled on time. He said the sect’s “arrogance” was unIslamic.
“The arrogance of Boko Haram is un-Islamic. The level of bombs they are using is low. If we begin throwing bombs, nobody will stay in Abuja,” the man who claimed to have started arms struggle in the oil rich Niger Delta said.

Meet A Female Auto Mechanic- Abisola Sulaiman.

Who says the work of the auto mechanic is the exclusive preserve of the menfolk? Well, not any more. In Lagos, a female mechanic is mesmerizing many men with her dexterity on vehicle engines and parts.

Like Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth 11 who served as a mechanic during the Second World War, this woman, has set a benchmark by delving into a terrain thought to be associated with only men. She has also made a success in this particular field.

Call her a woman of uncommon mettle and unflinching courage, and you would have aptly described Abisola Sulaiman. Like many in her stead who are a huge success, she’s got an unbeatable spirit and mien that boldly speak of her capability with vehicles.

How Yvonne ‘Vixen’ Ekwere's car was stolen at Oriental Hotel

Last Saturday, Yvonne Ekwere emerged from two functions at the Oriental Hotel, to discover that her Grey Toyota Camry v6 salon car, was missing. In an interview with NET, she narrates the shock and subsequent frustration she went through after the ordeal.

Her Full Story

On Saturday, the 28th of July 2012 at about 6:46pm, I drove into the new car park under construction at the Oriental Hotel Ozumba Mbadiwe str, V/I Lagos. The “Security” guard stationed at the gate; as usual did not take my plate number, issue me a parking ticket or try to identify the driver of the car as normally done with other guests who drive into that particular car park.
I had been invited to cover two events; the ‘YNaija Hashtag’ party and senator Ita Giwa’s daughter’s dinner party.

After I had finished work at both events, at around 11:15pm there about I noticed that my car was not at the spot I had parked it on. I and the hotel security men combed the entire car park several times to be sure I did not forget where I had parked and still did not find my car.
