Wenworth Miller Out As Gay!
Sorry ladies, another hot one has
been lost to the guys. I know y’all have been eyeing him, but too bad!
Wentworth played the lead character
Michael Scofield in Prison Break. He came out as a gay man yesterday August 21 by
means of an open letter to Saint Petersburg Film Festival, He rejected an
invitation to attend a premiere there because of Russia's recently-passed
anti-gay laws.

Thank you for your kind invitation.
As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a
degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a
gay man, I must decline.
I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and
treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in
no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory
occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically
denied their basic right to live and love openly.
Perhaps, when and if circumstances improve, I'll be free to
make a different choice.

Searchlight On Damascus: 1,300 Syrians Gassed In Their Beds In Ain Tarma (A Surburb)
Very shocking photos have been released revealing the
outcome of the deadly chemical weapons unleashed on Damascus suburb, Ain Tarma,
where 1,300 innocent Syrians were gassed in their beds.
This attack, carried out yesterday created makeshift morgues piled high with bodies of innocent women, men and children while those who survived the attack are fighting for their lives in makeshift hospitals. The attackers used rockets to release fatal fumes over the suburb in the early hours of yesterday morning as people slept in their homes.
The Syrian president has denied being behind the attack as protests against it erupted in other parts of the world. This is terrible and I don't understand why the rest of the world is doing nothing about this while thousands of innocent people are being slaughtered in Syria!

Last year (2012) President Obama had warned Syria that
using chemical weapons would mean “crossing the red line”.
"We have been very clear to the
Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us
is [if] we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or
being utilized." - President Obama, August 20, 2012
What I want to know is will the US react, what will
be the next step from the rest of the world? Isn’t this like crossing the red
line?

British Girls Who Tried To Smuggle £1.5m Worth Of Cocaine Out Of Peru Might Face 3 Years Before Trial
Former shop worker Miss Reid and

Air Europa flight from Lima to Madrid before taking a second plane to their
final destination in Majorca.

vast majority of cases that we have dealt with from Peru are drugs offences,

800mph "Hyperloop" Unveiled
Here's how DailyMail is reporting it
Paypal billionaire Elon Musk, inset, has revealed plans for a radical new 'Hyperloop' transport system that could 'shoot' passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 30 minutes.
Travellers enter aluminium pods mounted by skis either to their feet or to their cars, top. The pods, mounted above the ground on columns 50 to 100 yards apart, travel through steel tubes, reaching speeds of up to 800mph and travelling on a cushion of air. These images, left and right, show sketches of the passenger transport capsule and how it would look travelling through the steel tubes.

Searchlight On Zimbabwe- Mugabe Wins The Election?
After July 31st, i mean after the elections held in Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe emerged the winner. Although some groups have different views and disagree with this result. I heard that erm... people are depressed in Zimbabwe.
What happened? How could he have won again, again! Well this is what happened.
According to Wilf Mbanga's opinion in a post on CNN; "Robert Mugabe is a very wily politician. After losing the election in
2008, he and his generals threw everything into this election --
determined to win at all costs. They left nothing to chance. They also
enlisted the help of the controversial Israeli company Nikuv, which has
been accused of manipulating the vote in Zambia during the last
election''
The official results of the election indicated that Mugabe had 61 percent of the vote in the election on 31 July, while
Prime Minister Tsvangirai claimed 35 percent.
Mugabe's Zanu-PF party also picked up a parliamentary majority of more than
two-thirds in the election, winning 160 of the 210 seats. Even though
monitors said they saw relatively few irregularities, the BBC reported.
In a post i read on a newspaper from Uganda, here's what the 89 year old (Yes he is 89 and will probably be President in his 90's, ...err just kidding) Mugabe said;
So here's what he said about the election in his speech during the Heroes Day celebration.
“We fought gallantly in this election, and we won so overwhelmingly that some
people are hurting badly,” He continued:
“If they cannot stomach it, they can go and hang. If they die, even dogs will
not sniff at their corpses. Never will we go back on our victory.” he dismissed the claim
by his rival Morgan Tsvangirai that the election was won by widespread rigging and
intimidation.

THE BITTER TRUTH ABOUT THE IGBO- By Mr. Femi Fani Kayode
THE BITTER TRUTH ABOUT THE IGBO- Fani Femi Kayode
Permit me to make my second and final contribution to the raging debate about Lagos, who owns it and the seemingly endless tensions that exist between the igbo and the yoruba. It is amazing how one or two of the numerous nationalities that make up Nigeria secretly wish that they were yoruba and consistently lay claim to Lagos as being partly theirs. Have they forgotten where they came from?
I have never heard of a yoruba wanting to give the impression to the
world that he is an igbo, an ijaw, an efik or a hausa-fulani or claiming that
he is a co-owner of Port Harcourt, Enugu, Calabar, Kano or Kaduna. Yet more
often than not some of those that are not of yoruba extraction but that have
lived in Lagos for some part of their lives have tried to claim that they are
bona fide Lagosians and honorary members of the yoruba race. Clearly it is time
for us to answer the nationality question. These matters have to be settled
once and for all.
Lagos and the south west are the land and the patrimony of the yoruba and we will not allow anyone, no matter how fond of them we may be, to take it away from us or share it with us in the name of ''being nice'', ''patriotism'', ''one Nigeria'' or anything else. The day that the yoruba are allowed to lay claim to exactly the same rights and privilages that the indegenous people in non-yoruba states and zones enjoy and the day they can operate freely and become commissioners and governors in the Niger Delta states, the north, the Middle Belt and the south-east we may reconsider our position. But up until then we shall not do so. Lagos is not a ''no-man's land'' but the land and heritage of the yoruba people. Others should not try to claim what is not theirs.
I am not involved in this debate for fun or for political gain and I am not participating in it to play politics but rather to speak the truth, to present the relevant historical facts to those that wish to learn and to educate the uninformed. That is why I write without fear or favour and that is why I intend to be thoroughly candid and brutally frank in this essay. And I am not too concerned or worried about what anyone may think or how they may feel about what I am about to say because I am a servant of truth and the truth must be told no matter how bitter it is and no matter whose ox is gored. That truth is as follows.

Lagbaja's Article- 'The Principle of Mumuism As Practiced In Mumu Kingdom'
Dear Okey Ndibe: Thank you for sounding the alarm in a way that should make us reflect deeper. Mumu is not a condition I proudly proclaim. It was with a heavy heart that I came to this shocking realization that we are indeed a country of mumus. Harsh as it might sound, no other explanation would suffice. It is apparent that the “leaders” know that they would always get away with whatever incredible schemes they concoct because, amongst other reasons,
(a) the mumu people they “lead” are no different from their mumu “leaders” in characterApologies for the seeming overgeneralization but the vast majority runs with this mumu mindset.
(b) the mumu people are gullible, superstitious and naive
(c) there are no consequences for criminal acts if you belong to the right group
(d) these mumus never demand accountability from their “leaders”
(e) the mumus expect their rulers to loot or would otherwise consider them foolish
There is a limit to how much one can squeeze into a song before sounding less music than sermon. Please permit me to expatiate using your perimeter of “recent events in the past week or two”.
For simplicity I would use a numbered list to analyze and highlight a few seemingly disparate but absurd mumurity examples and indicators.
1. 5 members trying to impeach a governor would make you think there are probably only 6 or 7 members of the House of Assembly. According to the assembly’s website there are 31 members. For mumus, 5 out 31 constitutes a majority.

Funny Post: Lagos States Dumps Destitutes In Anambra State
This post is really funny, ok its like the song "talo leru wa gbe". For non-nigerians, Lagos State and Anambra State are two different states in Nigeria.
This is how Punch Newspaper has reported it...
No fewer than 70 beggars and the homeless were on Wednesday dumped at the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, Anambra State.
Agents of the Lagos State Government reportedly brought the destitute to Onitsha.
The destitute told journalists that they
were dumped about 3am at Upper Iweka after being detained in Ikorodu,
Lagos, for over six months for alleged wandering and other minor
offences by the Lagos State Kick Against Indiscipline officials.
The destitute said they were brought to Onitsha in four buses, escorted by riot policemen.
One of them, Mr. Osondu Mbuto, from
Ohaozara in Ebonyi State and a petty trader in Lagos, said he was
arrested by the Lagos State Government officials while going to his shop
on December 18, 2012.
Mbuto added that the Lagos State Government officials were in company with some policemen.
The Chairman of Nigeria Red Cross
Society in the South-East, Dr. Peter Katchy, described the action of the
Lagos State officials as condemnable.
