A section of
Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo‘s multimillion naira house was
gutted by fire yesterday 27th December, 2012.
Security
personnel, which included men from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense
Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Police Force, and the State Security Service, joined
the Firefighters from the Ogun State Fire Service to curtail the Fire from
spreading to other parts of the building.
Sources,
however , said the fire was caused by an electrical surge from one of the
personal offices of the former president and that it destroyed some Important
documents.
The incident
attracted sympathizers, political associates and family members to the former
president.
