News: Facebook Introduces Suicide Prevention Tool



Facebook has introduced suicide prevention tool which are now available worldwide.

These tools, will let people flag posts from friends or people who they think may be at risk or on the verge of committing suicide.



Facebook users around the world will now be able to flag a friend’s post from a drop-down menu should they become concerned about a friend’s suicide suggesting post. This tool gives several option. The suicide suggesting post may be reviewed by Facebook’s global community operations team, which may then “reach out to this person with information that might be helpful to them. However, if it’s determined that the person who has made a suicide or self-harm post is at immediate risk of hurting themselves, then Facebook warns that police should be contacted.
