Lamar Odom Recovery: Walks Unaided For The First Time

Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband seems to be recovering well. For the first time he walked unaided since collapsing in a Nevada brothel in October. He took some steps without his walker. 

Lamar is being supported by Khloe, who put their divorce on hold in order to continue making medical decisions for him, and her family.

The source added that his progress has been extremely slow but stated: 'They all pop in to see him in the hospital, including Khloe.'

Passenger Finds Suspected Bomb In The Toilet Of An Air France Flight

According to Daily Mail Uk, a France Airline made an emergency landing in Kenya as a result of a suspected bomb found in the lavatory of the airplane. Read Report below:

The Kenyan Airport Authority had previously published a statement on social media confirming that the device was a bomb, but later edited the post to only confirm a 'suspicious object'.

A Kenyan police official said during the flight a passenger noticed something in a lavatory that looked like 'a stopwatch mounted on a box.'

The passenger reported the device to the cabin crew, who informed the pilots, leading to an emergency landing at the airport in the Kenyan city of Mombasa.

Six people are being questioned by authorities, one of them being the man who reported the package. Kenyan police spokesman Charles Owino said: ‘The plane requested an emergency landing after a device suspected to be a bomb was discovered in the lavatory. 

‘An emergency landing was prepared and it landed safely and all passengers evacuated. ‘Bomb experts from the Navy and the criminal investigations department were called in, and took the device.’ Mr Owino said it was a ‘dummy bomb’ designed to create fear on the plane.

3 Feared Dead As A Result Of the Brawl Between Soldiers and Pro-Briafran Members During A Scuffle

According to Channels News today, 3 people suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are said to have been killed and two others including a soldier seriously wounded.

This happened at the Bridge Head axis of Onitsha in Anambra State when the group members poured out in their hundreds at the bridge in jubilation over the release of their leader, Mr Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ali Okechukwu, based on information gathered from the army, at about 1:30 pm, the IPOB members surged to the Bridge Head in their hundreds to celebrate the release of their leader and in the process blockade the bridge.

In a bid to prevent the seizure of the Bridge Head, soldiers manning the area tried to stop them and the group allegedly attacked them, forcefully trying to disarm one of the soldiers, the police official said.

He further explained that in the process, the leader of the military squad, one Captain Umar, attached to the 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha was injured.

Man Suspected of Raping, Murdering School Girl Detained

Police in Mombasa have been allowed to detain for 10 days a man suspected to have raped and murdered a minor in his house in Likoni in order to complete investigations. The suspect, Mr Manfred Odhiambo, is alleged to have repeatedly raped the 10-year-old girl before he strangled her to death and hid her body under a bed.

Police Inspector Yusuf Ibrahim told a Mombasa court that the girl’s body was found half-naked under the bed with blood stains around the neck and private parts. “The girl went missing after returning from Bethsaida Primary School on December 15, 2015 and was found dead inside her neighbours house,” Inspector Ibrahim told the court.

Mr Ibrahim told the court that when the girl went missing, the suspect who resides in the same plot with girl’s family, was among the people who escorted them to the Likoni Police Station to report the case.

However, the neighbours became suspicious of him when he started locking his house with different padlocks and blocking friends from entering his house.

MTN Takes Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) To Court

I'm certain you may have heard of the brawl between South Africa Telecommunication Company and Nigerian Government. After the Nigerian Government has slammed a $5.2 billion fine in October 2015, on South Africa's telecommunication giant MTN Group for failing to disconnect users with unregistered SIM cards, the telecommunication company has decided to challenge the Nigerian Communication's Commission in a Nigerian court, they have said that the commission had no legal grounds to order the penalty.

MTN on Thursday 17th December, 2015 said it had instructed her lawyers to take the matter to court in Lagos, saying it had valid grounds to challenge the size of the penalty and manner in which it was imposed. They say the manner of the imposition of the fine and the quantum of the fine is not in accordance with the NCC's powers under the Nigerian Communications Act.

This legal action restrains the NCC from taking any further action if the company fails to pay the fine by the Dec. 31 deadline thereby giving MTN more time to resolve the matter.

South Africans Celebrate Reconcilation Day, Whilst Some Protest Against President Zuma

Today December 16th 2015, South Africans celebrated the reconciliation day. According to SABC News, hundreds gathered at various venues across South Africa to take part in commemorations characterized by interfaith church services, prayers and walks.

Meanwhile hundreds of people have gathered on the Nelson Mandela Bridge in central Johannesburg marching in support of the "Zuma Must Fall" campaign.

This was as a result of removal of the Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene last week Wednesday by President Jacob Zuma. He and replaced him with little known MP David van Rooyen.

After several clamor, Van Rooyen was replaced with Pravin Gordhan four days later.

Placards captioned "Zuma Must Fall" and "Recall Zuma Now " were raised by people marching on the streets in Johannesburg, Their request is that President Zuma should step down as the head of the state because they have lost faith in his leadership.

Update On Sony Hacking: North Korea Restores Internet Calls US a Toothless Wolf

North Korea has branded the U.S. a 'toothless wolf' whose 'strength is waning day by day' in the latest round of tough-talk following on from the Sony hacking scandal.

A column in the country's national newspaper Rodong Sinmun, which is run by the ruling Communist party, called America an 'empire of devils' that is 'bound to grow old and go to ruin.'

Tensions between the U.S. and North Korea began rising last month after Sony Pictures was hacked for producing The Interview, a film which depicts the assassination of the country's 'supreme ruler', Kim Jong-Un. 

While North Korea has denied being behind the hack, a government official called it a 'righteous act' and threatened to attack cinemas showing the film, leading to the launch being cancelled.

President Barack Obama publicly chastised Sony for pulling the film, before promising a 'proportional response' to the hack, before North Korea's internet was taken offline yesterday.

The U.S. has also refused to acknowledge it had attacked North Korean cyberspace, but the outage prompted an angry response today.

According to The Telegraph, the column reads: 'The sound of gunfire has never stopped on this planet since the US made its bloodstained appearance in the world.

Man (First Time Flyer) Opens Emmergency Exit Aboard Airplane

A man on board a Chinese domestic flight caused panic when he opened the emergency exit just before take off as he 'wanted some fresh air.'

The incident was captured on social media, with photos of the middle-aged man (in blue coat) leaning out of the exit.

While questioning the man, he admitted to being a first-time flyer and was unaware that his actions could be deemed a serious safety breach.

Sony Stops Theatrical Release of The Movie "The Interview" After They Got Hacked

If you have been following this story, the latest on it is that Sony has decided to stop the theatrical release of the movie.

Sony Pictures Entertainment announced Wednesday, Dec. 17 that the studio is pulling The Interview after terror attack threats that was made by the same group responsible for the Sony hacks.

Here's a statement from Sony.

"In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release,"  "We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theater-goers."

Heroic Act: Late Tori Johnson Helped End Siege In Sydney Cafe

This cafe manager launched himself at the gunman holding 17 people hostage in Sydney. On Tuesday, he was remembered as a hero. below are the details that ensued between him and Monis (Guy that held people captive) his action brought the drama came to a bloody end. 

Tori Johnson was one of two hostages who died in the cafe on Monday night at the end of the siege that gripped Australia and beyond.

Events had not been going to plan for the gunman, Man Haron Monis. Several of his hostages had already escaped from the cafe. His demands to be given an ISIS flag — he had brought the wrong one — had not been answered. The Australian prime minister, Tony Abbott, would not telephone him. Radio stations refused to broadcast his message. Sixteen hours into the siege, he was tiring.

Mr. Johnson saw his opportunity and lunged for Monis’s gun. In the hazy half-minute that followed, the 34-year-old cafe manager tried to wrestle with Mr. Monis for the weapon and three shots were fired.   

Buhari Picks Professor Osibajo As V.P For 2015 Elections

It seems the APC Presidential candidate has finally made his choice. According to This Day Live, a party source, who was privy to the meeting said Osibajo was selected because he is a pastor of the Redeemed Church, meaning Buhari and the APC are targeting the votes of the Christian congregants of RCCG in the 2015 presidential election.

This decision was taken as the APC has made it a criteria that the Vice Presidential Candidate must be from the South West and must be a Christian. So, Buhari and the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun yesterday had the task of choosing a running mate for the party from the collection of candidates pushing for the office following the inability of Bola Tinubu to pick a running mate from the South-west zone.

So it's a Buhari-Osibajo ticket Versus Jonathan-Sambo. My question is who are you rooting for?
