Sports: Former Nigerian Football Coach Amodu Shuaibu, 58 is Dead

This is really sad. Just 3 days ago Nigerian former football coach Stephen Keshi died. And now today Saturday the 11th of June, 2016 Amodu Shuaibu a former Nigerian coach has also passed away. Shuaibu was 58. Amodu and Keshi worked together as Nigeria's head coach and assistant coach respectively at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nation.

Reports from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)  indicated that Amodu died today Saturday the 11th of June after "he could not wake up" from his sleep and that he had earlier complained of chest pains before he went to bed on Friday night.

The NFF secretary general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, has confirmed the passing away of Amodu.

It is really a trying time for Nigeria as a nation and Nigerians as a people and for Nigeria's sports industry. Stephen Keshi and now Amodu Shuaibu.

Please pray for Nigeria.
