Second Westminister Terror Attack, Police Tackles Suspected Terrorist

Armed policemen in Westminister today have tackled a suspected terrorist 'with a rucksack full of knives' near Parliament Square. This is coming five weeks after the Westminster terror attack that killed five people.

It has been reported that a bundle of gruesome-looking knives were seen on the floor next to the man, as the roads surrounding Whitehall were sealed off this afternoon. From pictures taken the suspected terrorist was pinned to the floor, before he was held against the wall of the Treasury. He was later taken away in a police van just over half an hour after the incident unfolded.

Scotland Yard say no one has been injured whilst other officers confirmed that they have arrested a man, 27. The man, aged in his late twenties, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism. Some knives have been recovered from him.

The suspect is being detained under the Terrorism Act and is in custody in a south London police station.
